Hours of Operation during 1999
Note.
Extended opening times. The Göta Canal is open 3 May
to
1 October, both dates inclusive. The peak season has been extended
by two weeks and now comprises the period 14 June - 8 August.
The canal is open:
May 3 to October 1.
Peak season:
June 14 - August 8 between 09.00-18.00 daily.
Convoy traffic
without prior notice:
Convoy period 1: 17 May - 6 June and 23 August - 11 September
Convoy
period 2: 7-13 June and 9-22 August
Timetables
with approximated times from other points are located at all ticket stations.
Time tables can also be ordered from Göta Canals main office.
Journeys at any
other time during convoy periods
Advance booking obligatory (3 days notice) for journeys at any other time
during the convoy periods, for which there is a supplement of SEK 420
per district. The Göta Canal consists of 9
districts.
Other periods,
